As a member of Living Threads exhibition group I am teaching on their summer school programme. Members offer a range of workshops all at amazing value of £20 which are held in Risley.
This is a one day class looking at using cotton organdy to make flowers which can be made into fascinators or broach pins. It will be a great day and there are 4 places left.

I have been very busy over the last few weeks finishing a collection for a photo shoot with photographer Rozz Williams. The photographs are to promote a new course I am running at Nottingham Trent University as part of their short course programme.

15 week class which you will learn the art of flower making, customising clothing for costume, making pasties, knicker making. A great class for the beginner or more advanced seamstress. Lots of glitz and glamour guaranteed!

Got sewing projects you have not managed to finish? Need a refresher with your skills? Got stuck on a project?
Then this is the class for you. A chance to develop your sewing skills and complete the unfinished projects hiding in your wardrobe!

Short Courses at Nottingham Trent University
Pattern Drafting and Making Knickers
Comprehensive 5 day class cover all areas of knicker making for womenswear. Learn to draft patterns and make a collection of your own designs. For more information and to book please click here
Struggling with stretch fabrics....? Come and demystify the lycra in your fabric stash. Learn to make your own Tshirts, knickers and have time to work on your own projects in day three.
Dates : Sunday 22nd April, Sunday 29th April and 13th May 10-4pm.
Costs: £80 plus £18 material cost (which covers knicker and t-shirt projects, you will need to bring your own final project materials/patterns).
Alongside 'Make friends with your sewing machine' lessons for those new sewers who need some one on one quality time with your machines, I also offer hour and a half slots for which can be specific to your needs. Classes usually held at my studio.

This is the last of the Friday Night Sewing Club Dates running before Christmas
Bring your own party outfit to alter, fit or remake. If you want to bring an old garment back to life or make something fit you, then this is the workshop for you.

I am doing some workshops with Spinsters Emporium over at the Hopskinson Gallery in town (21 Station Street , Nottingham NG2 3AJ). If you haven't taken the chance to take a look at the renovations being made there it is well worth a trip. There are artists and craft studios, a cafe, exhibition space all with a great feel of Nottingham creativity.
Donna at Spinster's Emporium has a beautiful studio with a great array of vintage fabrics and habadashery to buy and has started her 'Spinsters School of Stitchery'.
