I really like having people over to the studio and it always makes me have a good sort out which is never a bad thing. x
From Woman and Home June 1956, cake lining top tips i was going to try but i made individual muffins in the end.
Well it's been a hectic Friday and i have just finished a huge baking session ready for tomorrows fabric swap and afternoon tea event at the studio. I have made chocolate muffins, two lots of rocky road (one Gluten free) and ginger biscuits, all i have to do is wait for the muffins to cool so i can top them with chocolate and hundreds and thousands.
Yesterday i went up to the car boot at Ravenshead and got a bag full of old magazines and lots of pamphlets and souvenir guides to New York from the 1950's. They are brilliant and made me just want to go back there. I will try to scan some in as the covers are fantastic and they are in such good condition. I also go some other treasures, pictures to follow.
I also made some emergency french knickers as an extra class sample for the open day and they look great and summery will take some pictures tomorrow.

Thank-you so much to everyone who came and supported me at the craft fair on saturday. It was such i lovely day and so nice to see so many people there. Especially a big thanks to claire from pinky and boo and Vicky for you ongoing help in my endeavors x

I am having a Fabric Swap and Tea and Cake Open Studio event this Saturday (20th June) 11am-2.30pm.
Just
call in with any extra fabric you may have and enjoy some tea and cake
and swap with fellow crafters. There will be samples of the up and
coming classes to look at and a chance to buy
some homemade gifts.
If anyone able to do some baking please let me know, all cake gratefully received!

Its been a really busy few weeks leading up to Sherwood Arts Week. I have loads to post so hoping you won't mind a daily post each day this week.
Picking garments ready for my 'Art in Shops' display at Paloma on Mansfield Road. I kept changing my mind and had originally made french knickers and matching cami top but at the last minute changed my mind.
I am really pleased and managed to make a collection out of some old work mixed with a couple of new items.
I am amazed sometimes of what i have made and this bra and wapie is so very lovely.
I made this bag a few months back which started my ongoing love affair with recycled blanket.

If you have chance take a look at the 'Art in Shops'. Along Mansfield Road and Hayden Road in Sherwood you will find lots of talented local artists displaying their work.

I seam to be making an abundance of things with dogs, deers and rabbits on them. I sat down one evening and started drawing my ornaments a few weeks ago and these are some of the results. I a busy getting things ready for the craft fair on Saturday (13th). It's part of Sherwood Arts Week and is going to be held at The Robin Hood Pub in Sherwood, Nottingham 11am -5pm.
