My new fire screen

I was given this fire screen at Christmas and have re-homed it in my bedroom. The print is hand blocked  1950s design of ladies is big dresses. Such a good present!

A love of wrapping my orders..

I just made these two lovely ribbon brooches to order and really enjoyed wrapping them up to be ready to collect as i just got some Moo stickers for the first time.

 
They are lovely and even though i got them to match my business cards you can have different pictures on each one, how brilliant would that be!

It's been snowing....

This is Bella of 'Hannah and Bella', my lovely 1967 Morris 1000. I took this when the snow started out on Sunday night and there was i lovely light. The next morning she was even more covered in snow, so we have not been on any adventures this week.

Frilly Bits January challenge completed

I drafted the pattern from this 1930s Haslam Pattern of 'Step In's with a lace insert:

I found this lovely button which finished the 'Step In's perfectly. For the pattern look at the Filly bits website. The fabrics i used was some vintage 1940's peach silk and the inset is an old piece of lace.

I am really pleased with how they turned out and now Claire and I are moving onto the realms of slips.

My best find at Chesterfield Market

I took a day trip on Thursday with Dave to Chesterfield Market. After much searching i saw these lovely 1950's egg cups. I really don't like eggs bt they are things of beauty, they are small and come as a set of four.
